Passaris visits family in the Pumwani maternity incident

Nairobi Women Rep. Esther Passaris has on Sunday visited the family in the center of Pumwani Maternity incident.

Passaris noted that the incident was unfortunate as celebrated the birth of her baby and those who stepped in to save her life.

“Thank you Jackline, Faustin for a warm welcome today. Although the circumstances surrounding birth of your daughter we unfortunate, I celebrate the miracle of birth and everyone who stepped in to save the life of your baby.” Said Esther Passaris.

Speaking to the Nairobi Women Rep. Jackline’s husband narrated how they were blocked from accessing Pumwani Hospital by the guards.

They then resorted to visit a neighboring hospital where they were again denied entry prompting them to return to Pumwani Maternity hospital.

Kenyans who were at the scene reacted by demanding the hospital to act before a nurse at the hospital responded and even booked the mother and child at the facility.

The incident has attracted criticism forcing Nairobi Metropolitan Service apologize promising major changes at the facility.
