Patel Dam suspects released on bail

All eight of the Patel Dam tragedy suspects have been released on a 5 million bond with a surety of similar amount or cash bail of Sh2.5 million.

The dam managing director Director Perry Kansagara and the general manager Vinoj Kumar and four others were accused of 48 counts of manslaughter in a tragedy that left many injured.

The suspects had last week denied the charges leveled against them and there remanded at the Naivasha Prison awaiting investigations.

Trial has been set to August 3rd with the court requesting them to hand over their passports.
