Sarah Wairimu’s lawyer Philip Murgor has on Thursday been questioned over his attachment to the DPP’s office.
Appearing before a Nairobi court, Tob Cohen’s family lawyer Cliff Ombeta recalled Philip Murgor appointment by DPP Noordin Haji.
Last year in January Haji appointed Murgor alongside two others including Taib Ali Taib as prosecutors in his office.
Since then no written notice has been issued stating he is not working in the office.

In his defense, Murgor said he is no longer a public prosecutor under Hajji and that he has written documents to prove that.
Following the revelations, a request was made before the court to allow time to bring the necessary documents as proof.

If Cliff Ombeta’s claims are true then the prime suspect in the murder of Dutch tycoon Tob Cohen, Sarah Warimu will have to find another lawyer to represent her.

In addition to that, Sarah Wairimu’s plea taking has been pushed to October 1st.
Tycon Tob Cohen was found murdered at his Nairobi home a month after he was reported missing.
A post-mortem was conducted last week Wednesday as the court allowed Sarah to be present.
His burial was postponed as it did not meet the quorum required for a Jewish burial.
He was however laid to rest this week on Tuesday in the presence of his wife.
