Police arrest two over Ksh 50 million transformers

Police were today on Wednesday able to seize 43 stolen transformers worth Ksh 50 million.

The transformers were recovered in a house in Maili nne town of Eldoret.

Eldoret West OCPd confirmed the incident after a tip off by members of the public who were suspicious of the activities in the house where the transformers were seized.

The suspects will be arraigned in court once investigation is complete.

Mr Paul Nyaga who is in charge of security operation of Kenya Power and Lighting Company in the North Rift urged residents to report any cases and vandalism of transformers and copper wires.
