Police blocked by residents from arresting Oscar Sudi

A heavy contingent of police arrived on Friday evening ready to arrest Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi over his speech touching on the President Uhuru Kenyatta and the first family.

They were however blocked from accessing his house as angry residents blocked the road leading to his house.

Representing Oscar Sudi was his Lawyer Gladys Boss Sholei who called on the police to return during the day and serve her client a warrant of arrest.

Electricity was disconnected as one person is reported to have been injured as he confronted the police.

Speaking to NTV, Oscar Sudi’s allies accused the police of forcing their way into his house just to arrest him.

Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ng’eno was also arrested on similar charges and was released on Ksh 1 million cash bail.

Drama was witnessed during his arrest as residents engaged the police in running battles demanding for his release.

Political leaders have been called upon to exercise caution ahead of the upcoming elections to avoid tribal politics and death of innocent Kenyans.
