The police officer linked to the shooting of a boda boda operator at Mama Lucy Hospital has been arrested.
He is set to be arraigned in court as the Nairobi Bodaboda Safety Association demand justice for their colleague.
According to members of the association, the victim got into a heated exchange with the officer over Ksh 50 bribe.
The operator had just brought in a patient who had drowned before the officer engaged him over parking space.
He is then accused of cocking his gun before shooting him in the chest.
The officer identified as Daniel Mburu is said to have left the scene when an angry mob was approaching.
Protest was witnessed at the facility before police responded by dispersing them with teargas.
The Independent Policing Oversight (IPOA) has been called to investigate the matter.
