Police in pursuit of Timau hit and run driver

Police are looking a hit and run suspect who fled the scene of crime without identifying himself or offering help.

The accident which happened at Timau area involved a boda boda rider who was rushed to the hospital by a police Landcruiser.

“#CrimeAlert|Hit & Run near #Timau: Please help Detectives locate the suspect(s)who fled the scene without identifying themselves & rendering aid. Victim taken to Hospital & in serious condition. If anyone has info regarding this incident, Please report at your nearest P/Station.” Said DCI

One person who followed the suspect was only able to take a picture of the vehicle requesting police help to arrest him.

Aware he was being trailed, he made a U turn at Rangeland hotel but it was too late as the number plates had already been photographed.

This is the best I could do. The victim was picked up by a police Landcruiser and rushed to the hospital. No one went after the suspect at least to my knowledge. The victim is badly injured if not dead. He was a pikipiki rider
