A police Constable attached to the Ministry of Interior has on Tuesday killed his wife before the turning the gun on himself.
The tragic news was confirmed by the Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai who termed the incident as a domestic altercation.
Both the Police Constable identified as Hudson Wakise and Pauline Wakasa were in service with the husband attached to VIP protection at the Ministry of Interior while the wife was a traffic officer attached to Kilimani Police Station.

PC Wakise is reported to have been off duty until April 1st when he reported back to duty but left at 3:00 pm for his house located at the GSU camp. It was at his house when the tragic incident happened as confirmed by the IG.
Interior CS Dr. Fred Matiang’i confirmed the incident terming both the PC Wakise and his wife Wakasa as brilliant and young officers. He called on addressing the issue of psychosocial challenges in the country.
“I am deeply pained by the tragic incident involving PC Hudson Wakise and his wife PC Pauline Wakasa both young and vibrant Police officers with brilliant futures tragically ended in their shocking demise.
It’s a rude awakening to psychosocial challenges amongst some of our young officers that we have no choice but to now pay greater attention to. My sincere condolences to their families and friends.” Said CS Matiang’i
