The Interior Ministry has promised to take action against those producing and distributing leaflets spreading fear and ethnic profiling people in parts of the country ahead of the elections.
“Security agencies are pursuing the authors and distributors of leaflets spreading fear and ethnic profiling in some parts of the country ahead of the upcoming general elections.” Said Interior Ministry.
Speaking on the issue was Interior PS Karanja Kibicho who noted that each and every Kenyan has the right to move and work anywhere in the country and that voters have a constitutional right to elect their leader of choice.

“Dr. Karanja Kibicho has warned those behind the leaflets will face the law and reiterated that every Kenyan has a right to live and work anywhere in the country, and that voters have a Constitutional right to vote for whoever they prefer. ” Said Interior Ministry.
The Ministry has promised Kenyans adequate security ahead of the elections as security personnel have been deployed to take charge of matters security before, during and after the elections.
Interior PS has also warned those planning to cause chaos that they will face the full force of the law. This includes political leaders who tend to use the youth to cause chaos and create fear.
