Police have on Saturday morning rescued a man abducted a man abducted by a machete-welding gang.
26-year-old Wambua Mutuku has been described as a lucky man to celebrate this boxing day with his family after the ordeal.

“In the wee hours of today morning, detectives rescued one man who had been abducted in Changamwe, Mombasa. The 26-year-old Wambua Mutuku is lucky to be celebrating Boxing Day with his family, after our hawk-eyed boys rescued him to freedom from the jaws a machete-wielding gang.” Said DCI
One of the suspected abductors was shot dead by the police as his accomplice fled the scene leaving behind some of their crude weapons.
“One of the gang members was shot dead while his accomplices fled the scene terrified, leaving behind over five machetes and other crude weapons. Mutuku had been taken hostage and taken to Lilongwe area in Mombasa, where detectives & our Police counterparts rescued him to freedom.” Said DCI
