Police unmask identity of three Rongai house theft suspects

Police have unmasked the identity of three suspects arrested following the chilling house robbery of a woman in Ongata Rongai, Nairobi.

As at Wednesday, four suspects are in police custody assisting the detectives arrest other members of the gang that runs terror to residents of Ongata Rongai and Nairobi environs.

Among those arrested is 24-year-old Robert Kimani Irungu a resident of Kware, Ongata Rongai who was found in possession of a Browning pistol found stashed inside a charcoal jiko.

Others include Jane Achieng Ochieng and  John Ochieng Oranja both aged 21 years and residents of Kibera, Nairobi. The fourth suspect in custody is an M-Pesa agent believed to be working for the thugs.

The investigations have led to more recoveries including a pistol, clothes used during the raid and household electronic appliances stolen on the fateful day.

“As Police Officers continue to work around the clock to investigate and bring to book all the thugs who robbed a family in Ongata Rongai, more recoveries have been made. In addition to earlier recoveries made, including one pistol and items of clothing, household electronic appliances have also been recovered.
