Polycarp Igathe quits top Vivo Energy job

Former Nairobi Deputy Governor Polycarp Igathe has quit his Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing position at Vivo Energy.

His departure comes six months after he left his previous at Equity Bank where he reported directly to bank’s CEO James Mwangi.

I his place will be Mr. Omar Benson at acting position while undertaking his current position as vice president of retail.

Polycarp Igathe left the then Shell in 2017 to join politics becoming Governor Mike Sonko’s deputy before stepping down in 2018.

Many people cited a number of reasons why he departed as Governor Sonko’s bahaviour coming into play.

Vivo Energy wished him well in his future endeavors as they thanked him for the contributions he brought to the company.
