Tanzania President Samia Suluhu has on Tuesday hinted at forming a taskforce to review the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
In her speech, the Head of State said the taskforce will be not only review the situation but also align themselves with other countries in the fight against the virus.
“President Samia Suluhu announces today intention to form a special committee to advise the government on steps to take in the fight against COVID19. The President has said, the committee will advise on how to cooperate with the International community in fighting the pandemic.” Said Tanzania Update.

The news was welcomed by political experts who believe that she is on the right path to revive the country and take the country through a successful path towards a prosperous nation.
Among the things many analyst are looking forward to are collaborations with other Head of State in the region in matters development.
Also announced by President Samia Suluhu was lifting the ban on media houses that had been blocked by his predecessor the late President John Pombe Magufuli.
She urged the government to monitor the station and ensure that they properly follow the law.
“President Samia Suluhu today lifted a ban on media organizations imposed in previous years. Media outlets banned include Kwanza TV, Tanzania Daima, Mawio and Mwanahalisi Newspapers Tanzania ranked 118th out of 180 countries in the RSF’s 2020 World Press Freedom Index.” Said Tanzania Updates
