Tanzania President Samia Suluhu has on Saturday received a special envoy from Kenya at State House, Dar es Salaam.
The envoy consisting of Sports CS Dr. Amina Mohamed was in the country to deliver a special message from President Uhuru Kenyatta to assure Tanzania of continued support in promotion of various fields and relations.
On her part, President Samia Suluhu echoed the good relation between the two country that she will continue to cultivate especially what was being by her predecessor Dr. John Pombe Magufuli.

She continued by calling upon the formation of a Joint Permanent Commission (JPC) consisting of leaders from both countries to work on strengthening the relationship.
President Uhuru Kenyatta also sent a special invite to his Tanzania counterpart to visit Kenya and hold a meeting aimed at promoting the ties.
Kenya has recently slapped Tanzania with a ban on importation of Maize citing high levels of aflatoxin. Also slapped with the ban was Uganda.
Drivers from the two countries have complained of unclear direction of the matter as they are left to suffer by spending days at the border.
