President Uhuru commissions Ksh 415M Stadium in Kisumu

President Uhuru Kenyatta has on Thursday commissioned a Ksh 415 million stadium in Mamboleo, Kisumu County.

The new Jomo Kenyatta Stadium will be constructed to International levels fully equipped with ultra-modern facilities as confirmed by State House.

“President Uhuru Kenyatta commissions the construction of the Kshs 415 million Jomo Kenyatta Stadium in Mamboleo, Kisumu County. The new stadium now at 7 percent completion stage will be constructed to international standards and equipped with ultra-modern facilities.” Said State House

Residents who turned out in thousands praised the President as they greeted him all the way to the Kondele roundabout.

After the Mamboleo visit, the Head of State is expected to address Wananchi at the Jomo Kenyatta sports ground before opening the newly constructed market in the city.

Accompanying the President was former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, Sports CS Amina Mohamed and Speaker Ken Lusaka.
