President Uhuru Kenyatta has named Labour Cabinet Secretary Ukur Yatani as the acting Treasury CS.
Mr. Ukur Yatani will step in for Henry Rotich who is facing graft allegations.
Rotich was arrested along PS Kamau Thugge over Arror-Kimwarer dam scandals.
The two will be charged with the issuance of tender contrary to the procurement laws.
In addition to that, they will be charged with abuse of office where Ksh 19 billion was irregularly issued out.
Speaking on Monday night, DPP Noordin Hajji said his office has enough evidence to charge the CS and 27 others involved in the scandal.
The projects which were estimated to cost 46 billion saw an additional fee added to the initial amount raising the amount to 63 billion.
All eyes were on President Uhuru Kenyatta on the course of action he will take on the CS.

Other changes of the day include the appointment of Dr. Julius Muia to replace PS Kamau Thugge implicated in the scandal.
52-year-old Yatani came into power in January last year following an appointment by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Before he was once the Governor of Marsabit County in 2013 and served for four years ending 2017.
