President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga have inspected various government projects located in Nairobi.
The two leaders first made an impromptu visit of Green Park formerly known as Railways club where they inspected the project being undertaken by the Nairobi Metropolitan Service (NMS) meant to decongest the city.
They both expressed their satisfaction in the ongoing construction meant to make Nairobi a friendlier city as described by the ODM Prime Minister.

“I’m impressed by the progress of works being carried out at the Green Park bus terminus that I saw during an inspection tour of projects with President Uhuru Kenyatta. The Green Park is a major step towards making Nairobi a friendlier, less congested, and livable city.” Said the former Prime Minister.
“The Head of State, who is accompanied by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, expressed satisfaction with the ongoing construction of the ultra-modern bus station, being developed by the Nairobi Metropolitan Service, as part of Government efforts to decongest the city’s CBD.” Said State House
The two then headed to inspect the 4.2 KM link road which is meant to easen congestion when cargo is being cleared along the Mombasa road. The Head of State officially opened the road.
“The President, who is on a tour of development projects in Nairobi County, was accompanied by former PM Raila Odinga and Infrastructure CS James Macharia_ . The link road was constructed to easen the evacuation of cargo from the ICD and assist in the decongestion of Mombasa Road.
President Uhuru Kenyatta has officially opened the 4.2km access road connecting the Nairobi Inland Container Depot (ICD) and the Southern By-pass near Wilson Airport.” Said State House
