President Uhuru Kenyatta has on Tuesday visited the Nairobi home of Garissa Senator Yusuf Haji.
The visit comes a day after the former Minister was laid to rest after passing on following a long illness.
On Monday, the Head of State led other leaders in the burial of the former Defense Minister at the Nairobi cemetery. Other leaders at the function including Deputy President William Ruto and ODM Party leader Raila Odinga.

In December the Garissa Governor was flown to Turkey where he had been receiving treatment before returning back home.
Back in September, the veteran politician was admitted in hospital after dislocating his hip while at his home.
Haji joined the government in 1998 where he served as an assistant minister to the year 2001. In 2002 he was nominated to Parliament before winning an election in 2007.
Between the year 2008 and 2013, he worked under the grand coalition government of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and former President Mwai Kibaki as Defense minister.
Leading to his death, he served as the chairperson of Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) meant to collect opinions from Kenyans on how to unite the country.
