Private jet inquiries rise due to coronavirus

Private jets business operates have recorded an increase in inquiries of planes due to the coronavirus.

The demands are said to be coming from wealthy people who want to make trips in and outside China.

As some want to fly in and out of China, others are making inquiries as they are still stuck in the country.

The challenge the operators are facing at the moment is the lack of planes, crew and travel bans imposed.

Some private jet operators highlight the two week quarantine period the crew will be forced to take after making a single trip.

Even with the high cost involved in hiring a jet, some people and companies have booked up to four jets to work in a single day.

A midsized jet is said to have a capacity of up to 10 people and cost about 6,000 dollars per hour.
