Foreign Affairs PS Macharia Kamau is reported to have tested positive for COVID-19 and is at the moment under home-based care.
According to a publication by the Star, PS Macharia has handed his duties to Tom Amollo who is a political and diplomatic secretary ambassador.
The publication further reveals that the PS questioned the government over its response in contact tracing terming it a failed mission.

This is after the PS revealed his contacts to the Ministry in charge but no action has been undertaken to reach out to them begging the question where are the billions?
The Star continue by revealing that PS Macharia Kamau went a step further to reach out to his contacts who confirmed receiving no phone call from the Ministry of Health.
His sentiments are from a point of fear what if his contacts end up infecting others at a time when the country is preparing for the worse.
Insurance companies were also mentioned in the expose revealing that they made a u turn in regard to their promise to provide cover for coronavirus patients.
NHIF at the moment covers payments but it is limited to admission at government hospitals in the country.
Macharia is well known for his response in regarding the pandemic when he termed it as a mere panic among Kenyans and that it is not the first pandemic we have faced as a country.
