Ligue 1 giants PSG have confirmed the signing of defender Sergio Ramos from the Spanish side Real Madrid on a two-year contract.
The Spaniard began his professional career at Sevilla FC between 2003 and 2004 after emerging from the club’s youth academy. Ramos who is a versatile defender joined Real Madrid in 2005.
At Real Madrid, he has spent 16 seasons with Los Blancos netting 101 goals from 671 matches making him one of the best defenders in the world. He has also captained Real Madrid between 2015 and 2021.

In his time at Real Madrid, he helped them clinch four UEFA Champions League trophies between the years 2014 and 2018, five La Liga titles in the years 2007,2008,2012,2017, and 2020.
On the international front, Sergio Ramos has lifted the FIFA World Cup in 2010 and two UEFA EURO titles in 2008 and 2012 netting 23 goals from 180 appearances for the national team.
Speaking after the announcement, Ramos expressed how happy he was to join PSG and the ambitious project the club has. He is now looking forward to winning many trophies with the French giants.
