Radio Africa has countered a law suit filled by former employee Shaffie Weru claiming breach of contract and negligence.
Shaffie found himself trending for the wrong reason following his comments in regard to a woman who was pushed from 12th floor after declining to a man’s sexual advances.
Following complaints, Homeboyz quickly suspended him and two of his co-hosts pending investigations into the comments.

He was however suspended, news that was welcomed by various players in the industry including major advertisers and the government at large to set an example to other media outlets.
Communication Authority of Kenya (CAK) slapped the radio station Ksh 1 million penalty in addition to a 6-month suspension of the show among other requests made by the governing body.
Shaffie Weru through termed the dismissal as unlawful citing foul play in exchange of selfish interest best known by the company, The former presenter cited lack of opportunity to defend himself but he was instead served with a termination letter.
