Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling has accused sections of the media for promoting racial claims against him during the 2-0 defeat at Chelsea.
The Saturday incident happened when the England forward was heading beyond the touchline in the first half before some fans leaned forward as one fan was seen speaking some obscene words at Sterling.
Five stewards were seen heading to the fans before they took the fan away from the seat a few minutes from stoppage time. The police have not yet confirmed any arrest from the incident.
Last week during Tottenham Arsenal clash, fans threw a banana at Gabon striker Pierre AUbamayeng before they were arrested by police.
Raheem Sterling took to social media saying that he was not surprised with the behavior from the supporters in question. He also added that he is a man who speaks less but when there is need for his voice to be heard he will do so.
The Manchester City forward also screen shot a headline from last January where his club-mate Toni Adarabioyo that said a young Manchester City footballer 20, earning £25,000 a week splashes out on mansion on market for £2.25 million despite having never started a Premier League game.
“For example you have two young players starting out their careers – both play for the same team, both have done the right thing, which is buy a new house for their mothers who have put in a lot of time and love into helping them get where they are,” wrote Sterling.
“But look at how the newspapers get their message across for the young black player and then for the young white player. I think this is unacceptable, both innocent, have not done a thing wrong but just by the way it has been worded. “The young black kid is looked at in a bad light. Which helps fuel racism an[d] aggressive behaviour. So for all the newspapers that don’t understand why people are racist in this day and age all I have to say is have a second thought about fair publicity an[d] give all players an equal chance. Said Sterling on Instagram.
Chelsea have condemned the allegations in the strongest words possible vowing to take action. They have called for both the audio and video from the game to ascertain the allegations.
If the fan is found then he will be arrested and banned for life but if he denies the charges, Chelsea will have the choice to take action on the fan from the evidence provided.
Raheem Sterling has been on the wrong side of the media for a long time as proved by Kick it out founder Lord Ouseley. His lifestyle has been on the media for the wrong reporting.

Good morning I just want to say , I am not normally the person to talk a lot but when I think I need my point to heard I will speak up. Regarding what was said at the Chelsea game as you can see by my reaction I just had to laugh because I don’t expect no better. For example you have two young players starting out there careers both play for the same team, both have done the right thing. Which is buy a new house for there mothers who have put in a lot of time and love into helping them get where they are, but look how the news papers get there message across for the young black player and then for the young white payer. I think this in unacceptable both innocent have not done a thing wrong but just by the way it has been worded. This young black kid is looked at in a bad light. Which helps fuel racism an aggressive behaviour, so for all the news papers that don’t understand why people are racist in this day and age all i have to say is have a second thought about fair publicity an give all players an equal chance.
