Raila allegedly demands apology from NMG over publication

ODM leader Raila Odinga has demanded a public apology from Nation Media Group over an article they published about him.

The documents published by one Disembe say that Raila Odinga is demanding an apology over a publication saying that he has hinted to vie for presidency come 2022.

Through his lawyers Rachier and Omolo Advocates, the ODM leader has dismissed Nation Media’s characterization as false.

“PM @RailaOdinga has officially written to @NationMediaGrp demanding an apology and a retraction of the reckless falsehoods that appeared as the paper’s splash today.

Through Rachier & Amolo advocates, Mr. Odinga has dismissed Nation’s characterization of him as a contestant in a presidential race that does not exist.

Mr. Odinga rarely SUES the press but the claims in Sunday Nation’s story are so MALICIOUS to let stand.

NMG has 24 hours to apologize and retract, or face legal consequences for th libelous innuendos.” Said Disembe

In the article, NMG says that former Prime Minister hinted to be part of the race by saying that the handshake was a strategy to take his people to the promised land.

They continue by saying that it was the reason why he resolved to work with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

DP Ruto request to Hon. Raila Odinga

On Sunday DP Ruto has replied to the allegation saying that he ready to face the ODM leader under one condition.

The condition is that he should come and tell citizens in advance that he will admit defeat come the election date.
