ODM party leader Raila Odinga has promised the youth four Cabinet positions if he is elected the next President of the country.
The former Prime Minister was speaking from Nairobi where he met youth from Mt. Kenya region as he championed for youth empowerment across the country.
In the meeting the former PM noted that in his previous position he had held such meeting and that he will make it a policy in his government. He continued by confirming that he has been listening to youth problems and the same will continue in his regime.

““When I was the prime minister, I had roundtable meetings with the business community and also the youth. The roundtables were being held quarterly so that we can get feedback from the youth on what problems they are facing and what we are doing. It is something I have tried before and will be part of my policy,” said former PM Raila Odinga
One of the positions selected to be best fit for the youth is the docket of Foreign Affairs with the ODM leader saying that many Kenyans living abroad are the youth.
Mr. Odinga noted that the same agenda had been included in the BBI amendment bill as the youth can become a burden to the society if neglected but can become a powerful source of wealth if enough investment is done for them.
