Azimio One Kenya Alliance Presidential candidate Raila Odinga has praised Mombasa Magistrate Vincent Adet for releasing couple arrested for stealing wheat flour.
Taking on social media, the ODM party leader termed the grounds provided by the Magistrate as humanitratian as he promised Kenyans lower cost of living.
“I commend Mombasa Magistrate, Vincent Adet who on humanitarian grounds set free a couple who admitted guilt to charges of stealing a bale of flour due to hunger and for fundraising for them. Our top priority as Azimio will be lowering the cost of living.” Said Raila

Magistrate Vincent Adet made history by holding a fundraiser within the court room to assist the couple by basic needs for their three children even after pleading guilty to the charges.
He however warned them against repeating the same mistake taking into consideration that they truly relied on menial jobs for survival.
Both Saumu Ali and her husband Evans Odhiambo were arrested after stealing a bale of wheat floor in Mombasa in what the wife termed as desperate measures to fend for their children.
