Ramaphosa’s video with two women cause divided opinion

A video doing rounds on social media of South Africa President Cyril Ramaphosa has caused divided opinion.

In the video, the President who was out jogging in the morning was approached by two women also exercising.

The women request a photo with the President who jokingly told them to do it quickly before they are arrested flaunting social distance rules.

Two of the three women come close to the him defying social distance rules before they quickly the photo before leaving.

South Africans took on social media criticizing Presidnt Cyril Ramaphosa for defying the rules while he is the role model to the country.

Others praised his actions and indeed his spirit of exercising during this tough times.

“People always have something negative to say about everything, if ever he was to ignore those ladies or step away, they would have said he is rude or racist but now he treated them as a normal human being, still people see negativity in that??” Said Moses.

“People will only see what they look for.The man gave his elbow, the bulk of the time they are facing away from each other,he is wearing a mask,you can see he is being kind,but his body language points to wanting to move on. Dang.Some you are simply committed 2 drama and outrage.” Said Denver.

The video comes at a time when South Africa as a whole is considering to ease some of the restrictions it had imposed.
