Spanish giants Real Madrid has launch a project to supply and distribute inputs to be used to combat COVID-19.
In a statement issued by the club itself, they said that all donations will be stored at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
“Real Madrid Football Club, in collaboration with the Higher Sports Council, launched a project in Madrid for the supply and distribution of health strategic inputs aimed at combating the pandemic COVID-19.
- Paulo Dybala and girlfriend test positive for coronavirus
- Euro 2020 postponed for a year, to begin in 2021
Thanks to the close collaboration of these two institutions, the Santiago Bernabéu stadium will become an adapted space to store donations of health supplies destined to fight this pandemic.”
All materials collected will be supplied to Spanish health officials under the permission of the government.
Furthermore, they have agreed to outsource companies to distribute the materials when need arises.
“All this material will be delivered to the Spanish health authorities, under the authority of the State Government, so that an optimal and efficient use of these resources, so necessary in the current health emergency, can be made.
In addition, the Madrid club will provide entities and companies, especially those related to sport, with the possibility of sending to this center financial or material donations that they deem appropriate to deliver to the Ministry of Health. This mechanism will be complementary to those that the Government can activate for similar solidarity purposes.”
