Reham Saeed suspended over obese remarks

Reham Saeed a TV host in Egypt has been suspended over his remarks on obese people in the country.

Speaking during her talk show, Saeed was quoted saying overweight women are a burden to the state and their families.

Her remarks sparked a huge debate on social media forcing her to address the issue.

In a turn of events, she announced her retirement as she defended her statement saying she done so much in her career to helping obese women.

Saeed continued by condemning people who she says are trying to put her down through fake stories funded through various campaigns.

In 2008 President Abdul Fattah of Egypt called on the citizens to lose weight and take better control of their health.

Addressing the issue on that fateful day, Reham Saeed said once a woman is obese she loses her femininity and happiness.

She continued by saying that men are turned off by obese women and it the cause of broken engagement and marriages.
