Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku has apologized over his explosive interview with Sky that saw him miss Sunday’s clash against Liverpool.
Confirming the news was Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel who said that the Belgium is ready to take responsibility and that he has no other choice.
“Romelu’s very aware of what happened and what he created. He feels the responsibility to clean he mess us. Maybe we’ll have a bit of smell from it, but he can handle it. He’s no other choice – he’s our player”. Said Tuchel.

Tuchel continued by saying that the issue at hand is not as big as what people want it to be and that they should stay calm and accept his apology.
“Romelu Lukaku apologized and he’s back in the squad. For me was important to understand that it [the interview] was not intentional from Romelu. This is not as big as people want it to be – it’s not small but we can stay calm and accept his apologies” Said Tuchel.
The news comes at a time when Lukaku was quoted admitting that he is dissatisfied with Thomas Tuchel’s formation at the club but he is acting professional about it.
The Belgian continued by promising to stay at the club and that he is open to a return to Inter Milan when he is still at his prime as a player.
Lukaku was on Tuesday seen training with his fellow players and could be part of the club’s squad to face Tottenham.
