Police have s far arrested four suspects linked to the cruel robbery in Rongai on Sunday night as captured on CCTV camera.
The four are reported to be cooperating in the investigation and that they shall be arraigned in court as per the law. During the ongoing investigations, detectives have also recovered a pistol, cash and clothes worn by the attackers.
“To date four suspects have been apprehended and aiding police with further investigation, so far they are cooperating and they shall be arraigned in court as per the law.

In due course of the investigation, detectives have recovered one pistol make Browning, some cash proceeds of the robbery and items of clothing worn by the robbers on the fateful night.” Said National Police Service
According to the police, they will not rest until all suspects including those on the run are arrested and brought to book.
A crackdown around the environs of Ongata Rongai where the gang has been operating has been ordered by the Inspector General with the public urged to assist the police in the investigation.
“The Inspector General has instructed a crackdown within the areas and environs of Ongata Rongai targeting criminal gangs terrorizing and robbing law abiding locals. The public is equally requested to cooperate with the police and share valuable information towards this ends.” Said National Police Service
As on Tuesday, two suspects including an M-Pesa agent had been arrested in connection to the crime. This is after an alleged member of the gang withdrew Ksh 240,000, money sent by the victim during the attack.
The gang is reported to have instructed the victim to transfer the amount to the suspect who then used the agent to withdraw.
