National team rugby coach Benjamin Ayimba is currently fighting for his life at a city hospital after he was diagnosed with cerebral malaria.
According to an article by Standard, the rugby coach has been in and out of hospital since the beginning of 2021 keeping him away from the public light.
Currently, he is reported to be at the hospital High Dependency Unit (HDU) and can barely speak or recognize anyone.

Speaking to the Standard, his family revealed that Benjamin Ayimba has been in the hospital for the last three weeks and they can no longer keep it a secret.
The hospital bill now stands at Ksh 2.2 million as the family now pleads with Kenyans of goodwill to assist raise the money as they have exhausted all resources.
His elder son also revealed that it is now impossible for hide that fact that a public figure such as Benjam Ayimba is sick and now needs to be transferred to Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) after the outstanding bill is cleared.
