Allies to DP William Ruto have on Sunday held prayers at the home of convicted Sirisia MP John Waluke ahead of his appeal on Tuesday.
The Tanga Tanga led leaders have vowed to support the Deputy President’s quest to vie for presidency even though they face expulsion from various committees.
MP John Waluke was found guilty of Ksh 297 fraud involving NCPB for the supply of maize which was not done.
- Waluke’s wife turns to Kenyans to raise Ksh 727M fine
- Sirisia MP John Waluke found guilty of receiving Ksh 300M
- EACC arrest Sirisia MP John Wakule
He was accused alongside Grace Wakhungu who they both served as directors of Errad Supplies, the company contracted to supply the maize.
During the hearing it was established that the documents submitted were fake and so was the South African firm brought into the picture.
Initially, the state agency moved to court to block the Waluke led company from being paid but they presented evidence claiming to have incurred expenses from storing the consignment.
Teh court then ordered NCPB to pay the said amount which was distributed among the company directors, a top judge, top law firm and individuals who remain unknown to the detectives.
It is the humble appeal of Tanga Tanga leaders that the President will free the Sirisia MP something that the DP himself has claimed that those supporting him are targeted in one way or the other.
