Deputy President William Ruto has been barred from holding a public at Nyayo stadium come August 6th, 2022.
Through a letter from Sports Kenya, the Deputy President is informed that the stadium is booked for another event on the material day.
Led by Turkana Governor Josephat Nanok, the Kenya Kwanza team noted that they had th booked the venue on 7th July and that they had received all the necessary approvals which they revealed as receipts for their attendance.

“We regret to inform you that due to peace concerts scheduled to take place at both Moi International Sport Center- Kasarani and Nyayo National Stadium between August 5 to 7, 2022. The facility will not be available for their use,” read the letter from Sports Ministry as confirmed by Nation
They however received a letter from the Sports Ministry blocking their meeting an issue which they blame their opponents Azimio la Umoja who also confirmed booking the same venue for their final rally.
Nanok continued by confirming that they will proceed with their preparations at the stadium as they had also paid Ksh 1.5 million for the event.
