Samburu County Assembly unanimously passes the BBI

Samburu County Assembly has on Monday become the latest county to pass the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) amendment bill.

In a motion tabled before the assembly, all 26 MCAs present supported the bill after it was taken through public participation as required by law.

The news comes barely a day after former Prime Minister Raila Odinga expressed how confident that the amendment will receive approval from 24 counties come Tuesday 23rd February.

He was speaking as he ruled out the possibility of endorsing any of the NASA principals in the coming elections.

The ODM party leader was speaking as he called out the principals for failing to attend the mock swearing in of the former Prime Minister at Uhuru Stadium.

Responding to the ODM party leader, Wiper party leader lashed out as he said how he would never have attended the ceremony that was illegal in the first place.

He continued by confirming that he had already discussed the same with the Former Prime Minister expressing how him as a Lawyer it is his duty to defend the constitution in the first place.
