Sarah Wairimu the prime suspect in the murder of tycoon Tob Cohen has been released on cash bail.
Appearing before Milimani Law Court, Sarah Wairimu was released on Ksh 2 million cash bail.
The news comes barely a week after her case was adjourned as lawyers representing the family questioned her lawyer’s connection to the office of the DPP.
Philip Murgor argued he had resigned from the office way before representing Sarah in the murder trial.
Lawyer Cliff Ombeta challenged the suspect’s return to her matrimonial house saying she was better off at jail.
Murgor defended Sarah saying the prosecution team was planning to deny her the right to her house.
He continued by saying she was a businesswoman and that her businesses were being affected by her stay in detention.
The prosecution team advised against releasing her on bail sighting she will interfere with witnesses.
