The late Dutch Tycon’s wife Sarah Wairimu will spend another ten days in custody pending the hearing of his case scheduled for September 26th.
Passing the ruling was Judge Jessie Lessit who also ordered Sarah Wairimu to undergo mental assessment in seven days.
The case was being mentioned on Monday, just after the body of the Dutch tycoon was found in a septic tank at his Kitususru house in Nairobi.
Sarah Wairimu’s lawyer Philip Murgor called for the release of his client on cash bail saying that she was charged with no evidence at hand.
The prosecution, however, pleaded with the court not to release the suspect on bail as they had enough evidence to prosecute her.
They further blamed the suspect of not stating the facts right even before the body was recovered by DCI boss Kinoti and team.
A section of lawyers representing the DCI and Toby Cohen’s family has been asked not to reveal details of the ongoing criminal investigation.
A friend of the late Toby Cohen opened up on media as to how he confined to him some personal information like if by any chance he is found dead then his wife was the main suspect.
It was also revealed during the investigation that Sarah once flew out of the country upon learning that she was facing arrest.
She is then accused of threatening to call for the deportation of the tycoon if he does not marry her.
Their marriage is said to have been a rocky one from the onset as the suspect is said to have been assaulting the victim.
