Saudi arrest seven women’s activist

Saudi’s authorities have divided public opinions after they arrested seven women activist weeks before lifting its driving ban on women.

They did not name the detained women,Saudi state authorities however said they have arrested seven women for “attempting to undermine the security and stability of the kingdom… and to erode national unity”.

Those arrested are facing accusations including making “suspicious contact with foreign parties”, providing financial support to “hostile elements abroad” and recruiting government workers.

The arrests come after the state breaks on its long restrictions  on women and gender mixing with the driving ban on women planned to be lifted on June 24th.
