Sauti Sol and Nyashinski have come once again come together and this time, they have addressed the political class head on.
In their last collaboration, the incredible combination gave us Short and Sweet, a jam that we surely danced along.
The new jam is basically from the lyrics of Sauti Sol’s Kuliko jana but with a message towards our politicians and the level of corruption in our country at the moment.
Bien-Aime Baraza begins the song with a tribute to the late Jaramogi Odinga and Jomo Kenyatta who are asking if Kenya is okay right now.
“Barua toka Jaramogi na Kenyatta, wanauliza kama Kenya kuko sawa” are the initial lyrics before calling the late Tom Mbaya who seems to be sad as he left when we were young as a country.
As a country we are currently facing huge debts that have not yet been paid and we still borrowing for more with the latest one being the SGR project where millions were borrowed.
Sauti Sol and Nyashinski went further to say how we have these debts a country and we still borrowed more with what is left being stolen by our politicians.
“Deni mulizowacha bado tunalipa na tumekopa zengine China, tukajenga reli pia barabara zilizobaki watu wakasanya” sings Bien-Aime.
Apart from politics, the current generation of social media has been addressed where as Kenyans we attack each other on the social media.
Nyashinski comes in and speaks of how our young generation who post nudes. He calls out for the youth to at least share a bible scripture in their captions.
