Even though she did not give a solid reason, participants at the Olympics will not be allowed time together with their families and that could be the problem as Serena will not be together with her daughter Alexis Olympia.

The Tokyo Olympics have already been delayed for a year and organizers of the event have put up strict measures to avoid the spread of COVID-19.

Some of the measures include a total ban on foreign fans with only 10,000 fans will be allowed at each stadium. All the fans will be locals and have to prove that they have been fully vaccinated.

In terms of gold medals, Serena Williams is the most successful participant in the games alongside he sister Venus Williams scooping one gold in the singles and three others in the doubles.

Rafael Nadal confirmed that he will be missing both the Wimbledon and Olympics so as to concentrate on his fitness as required in his career.

Fellow competitors Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic are yet to confirm if they will participate or not. Federer revealed that he will decide after the Wimbledon.
