Barcelona striker Sergio Aguero has been admitted in a hospital after suffering a chest discomfort during their Saturday clash against Alaves.
The Argentine was quickly attended after going down and clutching on his chest for a few minutes before he was escorted out of the stadium.
Confirming the news was Barcelona said that their forward is undergoing a cardiac exam. “Sergio Aguero reported chest discomfort and has been admitted to the hospital for a cardiac exam.” Said Barcelona.

Speaking after the clash was Barca interim coach Sergi Barjuan who told La Liga TV that he cannot say much but the Argentine has been taken to the hospital and will undergo several tests.
It was the first appearance for the 33-year-old who joined the La Liga giants on a two-year deal after spending ten years at Manchester City where he became the club’s highest goal scorer with 260 goals from 390 matches played.
On Saturday, they were however held by Alaves who canceled a Memphis Depay curling effort in the 49th minute thanks to Rioja strike three minutes later.
The draw leaves them in 9th position with 16 points as the club prepares to announce a new manager following the departure of Ronald Koeman who was sacked following a string of poor performance.
