The news comes barely a day after Nairobi County Governor Mike Sonko was taken ill at the Kenyatta National Hospital.
Sonko is reported to have fallen ill at Kamiti prison where he first received treatment before he was taken to KNH private wing.
At the moment, only his wife and two of his lawyers are allowed to visit the Governor.
A report from the Governor’s doctor, he is reported to have suffered broken ribs during his dramatic arrest in Voi.
His bail application was denied being blocked by the prosecution team who termed him as a flight risk and could interfere with evidence if released.
