Gospel singer Bahati has declared interest to join the Mathare Parliamentary seat in the coming August elections.
Taking on social media, Bahati shared a picture of himself and ODM Party leader Hon. Raila Odinga with the words to affirm his decision.
“We talked, we agreed, it’s sealed! Raila Amollo Odinga na mtoto wa Mathare,” Said Bahati on Instagram.

The father of four joins several other celebrities who have joined politics and eying for various parliamentary seats even though he has not revealed under which party he will be vying.
Fellow singer Willy Paul had also also declared interest in the Mathare parliamentary seat back in December and he will also be up against James Ongero Madafu who is vying under ANC Party.
Other celebrities who have joined politics include Jackson Ngechu Makini popularly known as CM Prezzo and DNG who will be vying for Kasarani parliamentary seat and Kenyatta Golf Course Member Of County Assembly seat respectively.
Former journalist Mwanaisha Chidzuga will vie for Matuga parliamentary seat as Felix Odiwuor well known as Jalango will for the Langata parliamentary seat. Churchill Show co host MC Jessie will vie for Imenti South parliamentary seat.
