Manchester United coach Ole Gunner Solskjaer has hit back at former striker Robin Van Persie over his comments on the club.

Speaking following the 2-0 defeat by Arsenal, Robin Van Persie said that this is not the time to smile.

Responding to the comments, Solskjaer said that the former Arsenal striker does not know him and neither does he know him.

He continued by saying he may have the right to criticize but he does will not change his style.

Van Persie who moved to Manchester United in 2012 from the Gunners managed to score 48 goals in 86 appearances for the club.

In 2015 he moved to the Turkish side of Fernabache.

Solskjar on the hand made 231 appearances for the Red Devils and managed to score 91 goals.

The United coach confirmed that the Netherlands striker may have taken his number at the club but that is probably the only thing he is going to take from him.

Currently Manchester United lies in position five with 31 points, five points shy of Chelsea who is in the fourth position.

They are set to face Wolves in the FA Cup but lack the services of Paul Pogba in the midfield.

Scott McTominay has also been ruled out with a knee injury crippling down the midfield.

They will now rely on the services of Matic who is rumored to be leaving in January, a move that has been stopped by Solskjaer.
