Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has on Tuesday been caught on camera assaulting an officer as he entered Integrity Centre for questioning.
Sonko who was in the company of his bodyguards was seen pushing the journalist back before the anti-riot police stepped in to block the said journalist.
A press statement from the Nairobi County department denied the allegations saying it was the anti-riot police who committed the said offense.

At the same time, angry youth gathered outside EACC offices defending their governor who they say he is being harassed and intimidated.
Earlier in the week, Sonko accused one EACC official of trying to frustrate his efforts aimed at fighting land cartels in the county.
Defiant Sonko vowed to deal with the issue head-on and see that the cartels are no more in his County.
