Sonko denies appointing Simon Mbugua as his deputy

Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has denied the contents of a fake later purporting that he has appointed Hon. Simon Mbugua as the Deputy Governor.

The fake letter claims to have come from the Governor himself indicate that due to the graft charges leveled against him he has appointed EALA MP to oversee the welfare of the county.

It continues by saying that he has forwarded his name to the County Assembly for an appointment.

In addition to that, it claims that after a deep soul search he has decided to step aside from his office to pave way for investigation.

Finally, it ends by saying that he still calls for calm as he promises to bounce back and continue with the fight against cartels.
