Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has on Wednesday failed to appear in a court in Voi due to health reason.
The Nairobi Governor was expected in court to answer to assault charges during the dramatic arrest at Ikanga airstrip.
Governor Sonko is accused of assaulting Coast Police Commander Rashid Yakub and resisting arrest on the fateful day.

He was however arrested and taken into a waiting police helicopter before he was flown to Nairobi’ Wilson airport.
His absense in Voi caused the judge in charge to postpone the hearing to a letter day when the Governor is ready to take a plea.
Since his arrest, Sonko was hospitalized before appearing for a bail hearing when he was granted a Ksh 15 million cash bail.
