Nyamu granted the request with the FKF President freed pending any evidence that may be gathered by the government in connection to allegations of misusing the Federation’s funds.

Accompanied by his team of Lawyers consisting of LSK President Nelson Havi and former Presidents Professor Tom Ojienda and Eric Mutua, the defense team welcomed the news.

The court further ordered the release of Ksh 4 million cash bail that had been deposited with them.

All eyes will be the next course of action by the government following the appointment of a caretaker committee to oversee the affairs of the country.

Football governing body FIFA had already issued a statement discrediting the committee and demanding the immediate reinstatement of the FKF body comprising Nick Mwendwa.
