The Kenya Premier League family is mourning the death of Stephen Owusu who passed away in Ghana following a long illness.
Sad new of the striker was confirmed by Wazito FC who described him as a committed and hardworking player during his time with them.
“We have received with great shock the sad news of the passing away of our former striker Stephen Owusu. Owusu was a committed and hard working player during his time at the club and his demise is a massive blow not only to his family but also to the football community.” Said Wazito FC.

Same sentiments were shared by Bandari FC and AFC Leaopards who mourned his death on social media.
“We are saddened by the passing on of former Tusker FC, Nairobi Stima and Wazito Football Club’s forward Stephen Owusu. Our deepest condolences to his family and friends” Said Bandari.

Reports indicate that the former Asante Kotoko man passed away in Acra in a military hospital where he was receiving treatment.
