A police officer in Mombasa was on Monday attacked by a robbery with violence suspect after a court session.
According to Citizen TV, the suspect identified as Ngalaa Hassan committed the offense in Likoni area and was out on bail. He however refused to attend court sessions ever since his release.

He was then arrested for disobeying court orders with the Judge presiding over the case declining to grant him bail.
After the verdict was released, Ngalaa requested to the toilet as the police guarding him handcuffed him and waited outside the door. He was however attacked afterwards as the suspect jumped over the Mombasa Law Courts fence.
Efforts to arrest him failed as by the time an alarm was raised, Hassan had already disappeared within the court neighbourhood and was nowhere to be found.
